Durkan Limited awarded £22.6m contract by Metropolitan Housing
Durkan Limited has been awarded a £22.6 million contract to design and build 167 new homes for the Metropolitan Housing Trust in Harrow, London. Durkan will be responsible for the first two phases of the redevelopment of the existing residential estate at Strongbridge Close which will include 143 flats in three contemporary buildings varying between four to five storeys; and 24 two and three storey houses.
The project will provide a wide range of tenure including 107 rental properties, 40 shared-ownership homes and 20 flats for private sale. Durkan will also be improving the associated adopted highway and drainage infrastructure, landscaping and renewing the existing mains services.

Phases one and two are part of the larger redevelopment of Strongbridge Close which, when complete, will provide a total of 254 new homes.
