Project information
Durkan are constructing a new block of residential accommodation at Cyril Smith House in Enfield. The 3 to 4-storey sheltered housing block will provide 26 self-contained apartments for people with special needs. The apartments include 19 1-bedroom apartments, 6 2-bedroom apartments for wheelchair users and one 2-bedroom manager's flat.
The development is designed to meet Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4. The new building will utilise new technologies such as Photovoltaic panels and Geothermal Piles which will provide energy for under-floor heating in both the communal rooms and the individual flats.
