Project information

Durkan are providing a 94 unit development in Addlestone, Surrey. The development, situated on disused heathland involves the design and construction of a mix of houses and flats to be used for shared ownership and affordable rent. Ranging up to 3 storeys in height, the homes will include 1 to 4 bedrooms each and are being constructed as part of a wider development to provide over 300 homes in total.

The impressive new scheme will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4. To attain this, the development will include a range of sustainable and energy saving technologies including photovoltaic panels which will provide electricity to every home and high quality insulation to guarantee low U-values. The timber frame homes are being constructed using low or zero carbon technologies and as a result the overall development will provide a 15% reduction in total carbon emissions, exceeding compliance to the standard assessment procedure (SAP). The development will be arranged around courtyards and green space, providing, secure, semi-private open environments for residents to socialise and for children to play.
