One building is 8-storeys high and contains 25 apartments and the other stands 4-storeys high and contains 17 apartments. The works also include the provision of car parking space. The development follows the Passivhaus Design Philosophy. Each basement will contain mechanical communal hot water and electrics power supplies. The communal hot water system is heated by part central gas boilers and part solar thermal hot water system. Various design issues have been taken into consideration as the site is adjacent to a railway line.
