Project information
At Servite Roman Catholic Primary School in Fulham, Durkan are demolishing a 1930’s single storey Nursery building and external storage area.
Following this Durkan are constructing a new single storey Nursery building which will include two new interchangeable teaching areas to provide a flexible and adaptable environment for the changing educational needs of the school.
The surrounding areas to be used as a playground will be landscaped and accessed directly from each of the classrooms, reducing the need for movement around the building. Play equipment will be contained in an external Wendy house, constructed to look similar to the new building.
The school will receive a ‘BREEAM Very Good’ rating. To achieve this, Durkan will provide a new energy efficient boiler system and under floor heating to the new nursery, allowing more control over time and temperature. The school will remain fully operational throughout the process.
