London Lighthouse Project information The redevelopment of the London Lighthouse included alterations to the existing building and the construction of a new building. Lighthouse is the name given to the London based services of the Terrence Higgins Trust. As well as a new building the works comprised the full refurbishment of the existing building to create a new health centre facility including the provision of meeting and conference rooms, counseling rooms, therapy rooms, a garden café and clinical testing facilities. The Lighthouse support centre cater for people affected by HIV. Services at the centre include counseling, support in the community through buddies and mentors, complementary therapies, a rapid one-hour testing clinic, nutrition and dietary advice, podiatry and yoga. The centre also provide support services to people from black and minority ethnic communities. As well as running peer support groups including a gay men’s group and a recently diagnosed group.
