Redbridge Night Shelter, Ilford, Essex Project information Durkan recently undertook the design, refurbishment and extension of an existing homeless shelter for vulnerable people to provide eighteen bed spaces. A new 2-storey semi-detached extension provided eight bedrooms, two of which had private bathroom facilities. Offices, a new reception, catering facilities and other ancillary area have also been provided. Durkan also constructed a part 1 and 2-storey building to provide ten bedroom units with private bathroom facilities, a workshop facility and a utility room.
