Refurbishment of 1200 kitchens and bathrooms for Maidstone Housing Trust. Durkan Limited has a partnership agreement with Maidstone Housing Trust to upgrade 1200 of their affordable housing properties in line with the Governments Decent Homes Standard. Durkan was selected as one of three key contractor partners for the refurbishment programme which totals approximately £20m.

The project requires quality refurbishment of all kitchens and bathrooms on the estate. It is an excellent example of Durkan's successful project partnering with a housing association and the scheme is progressing well towards its October 2007 completion date.

Refurbishment is being carried out with tenants in occupation and good residen liaison is key to smooth working. To aid this Durkan has set up a dedicated local tenant office on the estate in the form of a shop. The office is manned by its Resident Liaison Office and ensures tenants have a local and convdenient place to contact Durkan with any queries.
