Investment in training is vital for the future of the whole construction industry. And at Durkan we are deeply committed to providing the best possible training and work opportunities for a range of people as diverse as the communities we serve. Women, older people, those from ethnic minorities, as well as mainstream youngsters – anyone interested in a construction career can count on the quality of training available from Durkan.

All our trainees tap into a rich vein of support within the company. Everyone receiving training in a site-based role benefits from ongoing mentoring from Durkan’s Community Liaison Officer.

For those on modern apprenticeships, we have six Work Based Recorders to help them achieve the required NVQ status.

We also conduct our own apprentice programmes, separate from our work with training organisations.
