The mixed-use scheme, designed by award winning Cartwright Pickard Architects, includes office space, residents internet café and gym with two saunas and changing rooms. Durkan Limited worked closely with Hyelm who has a reputation for providing high quality affordable accommodation, services and facilities in homely environments for London's young people and key workers.

Durkan Limited negotiated a turn key arrangement with Hyelm which included the acquisition of the site, planning, funding and construction of the entire development. The project included part demolition and re-construction of a former office block and petrol station.

The bedroom units are in clusters of two, three, four, five and six bedrooms with each cluster having its own fully fitted modern kitchen. Each bedroom consists of a fully fitted room with wardrobe, wall units, desk, chairs, a large single bed, a private shower with basin and toilet. All apartments are also wired for digital radio, TV, Sky, BT and computer access, plus a camera access link to the front entrance for viewing.

Between the new accommodation blocks there is a two-storey office block for Hyelm management who will manage the new development on a twenty-four hour basis. The office block has a boardroom and satellite offices, its own kitchen and bathrooms, a photocopying room and IT room.

The front facade of the New North Road block is clad with full height glazed curtain walling giving good natural light to the internet cafe. This is repeated on the rear elevation which faces the fully paved private courtyard. The complex has its own covered bicycle store and secure bin stores and the whole development is secured by a range of wall mounted cameras both internally and externally. Each tenant has his/her own fob reader for personal security to his/her private apartment.
