Durkan confirmed in LDP2 framework
A key development for Ilford has moved one step closer to completion this week as the final unit of concrete was poured at the Brittania Music Site scheme in the town.
Redbridge councillors joined the partners behind the development, including property investors M&G Real Estate and housing association Southern Housing Group for a 'topping out ceremony' on Thursday 27th September. The mark the occasion Redbridge Council Leader Jas Athwal poured the last piece of concrete onto the top floor of the 24-story tower, along with Danny Durkan, Executive Chairman Durkan Limited and Alex Greaves, Fund Manager M&G.
The development will provide a mix of one, two and three bedroom homes within two buildings, set around a public courtyard. It will deliver 354 much-needed homes for the local community, with close to a third of these providing affordable rent or shared ownership opportunities.

We have carefully progressed to deliver a scheme which is right for the local area. This has involved close collaboration between each of the partners involved and Redbridge Council. Construction is expected to be fully completed on the site by Spring 2020.
