London and Home Counties housebuilder, Durkan Homes, and Thriving Investments’ (formally PfP Capital) Private Rented Sector operator, Picture Living, have signed an agreement to bring 28 private rental homes to market in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
The mixture of three- and four-bedroom homes will be available to rent on the open market, the first of which are live and available now, and will be professionally managed via Picture Living’s property managers, Touchstone.
The houses form part of Wintringham, a new community by master developer Urban&Civic, which has wellbeing at its heart and provides a mix of tenures accommodating differing customer requirements and needs. Renters will start to move in this month, further adding to the established Wintringham community.
Bill Beyzade, Managing Director at Durkan Homes commented: “Local communities are very much at the heart of our developments. Home means something different to everyone and wherever possible we want to help unlock a varied tenure of housing for local people. We’re delighted to have been able to work in partnership with Picture Living and Urban&Civic to increase access to high quality, energy efficient new build homes for the rental market that are professionally let and managed.
This is a thriving and well-connected community, surrounded by green space but within easy reach of Cambridge and London. It really does offer something for everyone.”
James Nicholls, Investment Manager at Thriving Investments said: “On behalf of Picture Living, we are thrilled to announce our first-time partnership with Durkan and our participation in their debuttransaction in the Single Family Housing space. Durkan Homes consistently delivers a product of exceptional quality to the sales market, and we are excited to extend this same calibre of homes to the rental market.
Wintringham stands as a thriving community, enriched by thoughtfully designed and landscaped areas, providing essential services and amenities, including a state-of-the-art school – our customers will immediately feel right at home.”
The Durkan homes occupy an excellent position at the gateway to Wintringham, which boasts two primary schools, a nursery, health centre and an abundance of formal and informal open space, recreation facilities, play areas and wildlife. Situated just a ten minute walk from St Neots station, residents are easily connected to central London, and the surrounding road network provides convenient connectivity to Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Oxford.
