A promotion for Durkan’s Rising Star

Durkan are delighted to announce the promotion of ‘rising star’ Ed Afolabi to Assistant Site Manager at Phase 1a Southmere project in Thamesmead.

An engineering graduate and Bexley resident, Ed was struggling to kick off his career in construction management until Peabody Reconnect team put him in touch. Ed shone at interview and won the opportunity of a start as a trainee project manager.

Ed quickly established himself as a talented and popular member of the Durkan team and his consistent performance has resulted in this well-deserved step-up. We are confident that this is just the start of a long and distinguished career for Ed and wish him all the best for the future.

“Getting my first break in construction management was really difficult without a network of contacts in the industry – despite achieving a really good construction related degree.
