Our Leadership Team

Durkan’s senior leadership team bring considerable experience and expertise to the business from a diverse range of industries, enabling Durkan to identify and integrate best practices into the business.

Working together and connecting as a united team, the group’s short term focus is to achieve the company 5 year business plan whilst also targeting growth to ensure the success of Durkan for the next 50 years.

Daniel Durkan
Executive Chairman

Danny joined Durkan in 1983, he has developed a broad range of skills while working for the business in Dublin, New York and London.

Danny has successfully led and continues to lead the growth of the business.

Ronan Murphy
Group CEO

Ronan is responsible for the development and implementation of Group strategy. He also oversees all operational activities of Durkan.

He has over 20 years' experience in the property sector having worked with a range of investors and operating businesses.

Paul Kimber
Group Finance Director

Paul is an experienced senior finance professional in the Housebuilding sector having worked with Ernst & Young and the Berkeley Group. He is responsible for all Group financial matters in addition to asset management, IT and HR.

Bill Beyzade
Managing Director Housebuilding

With an outstanding track record in identifying, acquiring, and developing sites for housing, Bill leads Durkan's house building division.

Drawing on his experience with CALA, Laing Homes and Taylor Wimpey, Bill is establishing Durkan's house building team and land acquisition activities, to deliver high quality homes and sustainable communities.

Jim Briggs
Managing Director of Refurbishment

Jim joined Durkan over forty years ago and, having since worked across the business, has built up invaluable experience of the whole construction lifecycle.

He now draws on that experience to successfully oversee business development, and operational performance.

Kim Rickards
Planning Director

Kim is an RTPI qualified planner with over 20 years post qualified experience, with a broad range of planning skills gained through a diverse range of roles, including strategic projects with a particular focus on residential developments.

Drawing on her experience with Bellway, Crest Nicholson and McCarthy Stone, Kim is working with Bill and the Durkan's house building team, to secure planning permissions and deliver high quality homes and sustainable communities.

Tim Carpenter
Managing Director, Durkan

Tim commenced his career in the industry with Willmott Dixon, concluding with 18 years as Managing Director of their Housing Division. He then joined Mears to establish and develop a new Housing Division which specialised in partnerships with housing associations and local authorities.

Tim took up the position of Managing Director in spring 2022, having previously been responsible for the new business function, leading the bid, estimating, and preconstruction teams. The Group’s move to expand its joint venture and partnerships work now benefits from Tim’s extensive range of relationships in the housing association and local authority sector. Tim brings with him his valuable experience of offsite manufacturing which is enabling Durkan to expand its use of ‘Modern Methods of Construction’.

Adina Poncis
Digital Delivery Director

Adina is responsible for driving the implementation and adoption of digital ways of working across the organisation. With over 18 years of experience in the AEC, Adina brings a wealth of experience in the digital transformation space having worked for Make Architects and Lendlease Development.

Adina is responsible for driving the digitalisation of our projects whilst ensuring compliance with current international best practise and standards.
